Laser tracker

Monitoring
LIFA offers consultancy in setting up both manual and automatic systems to monitor different kinds of deformations and movements. Commonly monitoring is about movements on buildings, surface, rail road tracks, bridges, secant poles and so on.
We will assist you in setting up one or more automatic precision surveying instruments to collect data continuous or periodically. Besides traditional surveying instruments LIFA also use inclinometers, weather stations, water level sensor, video surveillance and different geotechnical sensors depending on what needs to be monitored.
Depending on the customer’s wishes LIFA sets up a system where the collected data are automatically transferred to LIFA’s server and processed. It is possible to share the data through web-based solutions in graphs or other relevant graphical presentations. The automatic system is linked to SMS or e-mail and in case of any given tolerance is exceeded an alarm is sent. At any time it is possible to follow the movements on you own PC or laptop.

Laser scanning
LIFA offers consultancy in implementing laser scanning as a method of solving a wide variety of surveying jobs. What you benefit from using laser scanning is a high degree of detailing in your data sets (point cloud) compared to traditional ways of surveying. It is possible in the point cloud to recognise objects as small as a few centimetres.
A typical surveying job where laser scanning would be the preferred solution is for example to scan the exterior of a building for renovating the facade or for renovating a bridge. It is also a method used for surveying the inside of a building. This might be used for parcellation of an apartment building into condominiums.
The amount of data collected by a laser scanner is great. LIFA offers to deliver the raw un-processed point cloud or we process the data. The finished product is 3D model modified specifically for the customer.
